By default, security of shared folders against external encryption will be enabled in the Kaspersky antivirus. After Kaspersky Security is installed, the shared folders protection against the external encryption will be restricted unless the virtual machine gets restarted.

• Go to the Kaspersky Security Center Console
• In the Managed devices folder, you have to go to the folder to open that is with the administration name group to which the appropriate secured virtual machines belong
• Now, choose the Policies tab in the Workspace and choose the Light Agent for Windows policy in the policies list
• Open the Properties and Policy name and for that, you have to double-click on it
• In the Light Agent for the Windows policy properties window, you need to choose the System Watcher option that appears on the left

The System Watcher component settings will have appeared in the right-part of the Window

Conduct one of the following action appears in the General Settings option-

Choose the option that says Enable protection of shared folders against external encryption box if you have to monitor operations conducted from the remote computer on the shared folders file

Clear the option Enable Protection of shared folders against external encryption box if you don’t want Kaspersky security to check the operations that are conducted from a removed PC on files in the shared folders

Click on the Apply option and here you are done with the enabling and disabling procedure

Enable and disable Kaspersky shared folder in Local Interface

• On the protected virtual machine, you will need to open the app settings window
• In the left part of the window of the Anti-Virus protection section, you have to choose System Watcher
• The System Watcher component settings will appear in the right part of the window

If the Settings appears in the local interface aren’t available, it means that the value of the setting is used for all secured virtual machines of the administration group

Do one of the following-

Firstly, choose the Enable protection of shared folders against external encryption check box if you need that Kaspersky should check the operations conducted from the remote PC on files in shared folders

Clear the ‘Enable shared folders protection against external encryption check box if you don’t need Kaspersky Security to check operations conducted from the remote PC on files in the shared folders

• Click on the Save option to save changes
• Define Location and Shared folder name will be used to do the following-
• Store the file essential for the remote installation of applications
• Store updates have been downloaded from an update source to Administration Server
• File Sharing will be turned on for all users
• There, you can choose any of the following options-
• Shared Folder Creation- Create a new folder and specify the folder path in the text box
• Choose Existing Shared Folder- Choose an existing shared folder
